Sun Solaris Nodes

The Solaris cluster consistes of four single core, dual processor SunBlade 1000 Sun Solaris machines, running at 800MHz, with 2GB RAM each, for a total 8 GB RAM. Intra-cluster communication on the Solaris cluster is at 1GB/sec bandwidth, 100mu_sec latency.

AIX Nodes

The AIX cluster consists of two single-processor, two dual-processor and four quad-processor single-core Power-PC processors running at 1.7GHz, with 64KB L1 cache, 6MB L2 cache and 128MB L3 cache. Each processor has 2GB RAM, for a total of 44GB RAM. Intra-cluster communication on the AIX clsuter is at 1GB/sec bandwidth, 100mu_sec latency Ethernet.

CL

The CL cluster consists of a dual-processor single-core master, 4 quad-processor, dual-core and 16 quad-processor, single-core Opteron processors running at 2.2GHz, with 64KB L1 cache and 1MB L2 cache. The dual-core nodes have 32GB RAM, for a total of 128GB RAM, and the single-core nodes have 16GB RAM for another 192GB RAM (320GB in all). Intra-cluster communication is at 10GB/sec bandwidth and 7usec latency Infiniband, and 1GB/sec bandwidth and 100mu_sec latency Ethernet.
